ATLANTA, Ga. – Volleyball middle hitter Jessica Chittenden was named Great South Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Wednesday morning as was announced by the conference.
This marks the third straight week that a Covenant volleyball player has earned the weekly honor. Chelsea Van Dyk and Stephanie Kirkpatrick were honored in weeks one and two, respectively.
The senior from Boyds, Md., Chittenden had 20 kills for the week, including 10 in a 3-0 win over Piedmont. Chittenden added three block solos and six block assists in the Piedmont match that avenged one of Covenant's three losses on the season.
Chittenden leads the team in block assists with 27, is second with kills per set at 2.28, and ranks second with eight block solos helping the Lady Scots to an 11-3 record.
