Baylor's Sam McHugh Earns 4 Medals At USA VS Japan Swimming Competiton

In his first international swimming competition, Baylor School Junior Sam McHugh earned four medals in the National Club Swimming Association All-Stars VS the Japan All-Star meet in Huntington Beach, Calif. McHugh brought home one silver medal and three bronze, the second largest medal haul of any of the American boys team members.

McHugh’s highest individual place was in the 200 meter backstroke, as the fastest American he placed third in a time of 2:06.52 Sam also swam on the silver medal winning 4 x 100 freestyle relays, and won bronze in the 4 x 100 medley and 4 x 200 free relays. Individually, McHugh also placed 4th in the 100 meter backstroke, and 5th in the 200 meter freestyle, 100 meter freestyle, and 200 meter individual medley.

Baylor School Junior Luke Kaliszak also represented the USA in the this competition.Kaliszak’s top finish was a fifth place finish in the 50 meter freestyle in a personal best time of 24.93.

Baylor School’s Head Coach Dan Flack was selected as on e of the coaches for the United States men’s team.


Lookouts Nip Wahoos, 1-0, In Pitcher's Duel

Dog Fighting Operation Uncovered On Talledega Avenue

TBI was executing a narcotics search warrant at 6302Talladega Ave. in Chattanooga on Friday and uncovered a dog fighting operation. Officials said it consisted of numerous pit bills, a fight ring, a treadmill and blood-stained carpets and paneling. Mcckamey Animal Services personnel were processing the fight scene. City May Move Forward On $47 Million Wilcox Tunnel Project

City officials may move forward on a $47 million project to upgrade the narrow Wilcox Tunnel through Missionary Ridge. The City Council on Tuesday is to consider a resolution to apply for a $25 million federal TIGER grant. The city would still have to come up with $21,825,000 through "local funds or grants."
