America’s Got Talent Quarterfinalist J. Chris Newberg Performs Oct. 19-20

Thursday, September 27, 2012

Quarterfinalist of last year’s America’s Got Talent, comedian J. Chris Newberg, performs in Chattanooga on Friday, Oct. 19, at 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 20, at 10:30 p.m. Mr. Newberg, who was eliminated in the Quarterfinals of the NBC series, returned to perform in the Wild Card Show.

Opening for J. Chris Newberg is comedian Tabari McCoy out of Cincinnati, Ohio. A fan of stand-up comedy dating back to the days Bill Cosby’s Himself was new in theaters (hence the reason he always keeps his comedy at a PG-13 level), Tabari’s sense of humor reflects a wide assortment of influences - ranging from legends like Richard Pryor and Richard Jeni to modern stars like Bill Burr, Kevin Hart, Patton Oswalt and Dave Chappelle among them. But no matter what he says, he says it all with one simple goal in mind: Making people laugh - and hoping he doesn’t anger his family or God in the process.

Comedian J. Chris Newberg is out of Studio City, Ca. Newberg has been seen on America’s Got Talent, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, The History Channel, Fox Sports and more. Newberg's standup comedy combines his observations on life with original, acoustic guitar songs and melodies. With his friends at comedy.com, J Chris has written and produced several short humorous videos that have received over seven million views.

Location Of The Delta Queen Is The Problem - And Response

The Delta Queen is a magnificent part of history and in many ways I'm pleased she is in town. Having the boat where she is is the problem. The crew take many of the parking spots around the park leaving families to park across Frazier and schlep their kids, strollers and picnics to the park. You don't get fireworks ... (click for more)
