Memory Fair To Be Held Oct. 4

Hickory Valley Retirement will be hosting a Memory Fair on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 5:30 p.m. 

The Memory Fair will further educate the general public about the complexities of dementia featuring keynote speaker, Dr. Michael Kodsi, M.D of Chattanooga Neurology Associates. He will be addressing key issues and treatment of dementia while The Alzheimer’s Association along with other vendors will be discussing various treatments and ways of coping with the disease. 

The purpose of the event is to educate the public and caregivers as they seek to answer difficult questions regarding the early signs of dementia and aid them as they make care plans.

Hickory Valley Retirement is located off Lee Highway on Ballard Drive. Vendors including the Alzheimer’s Association, The Jewish Federation, Chambliss, Bahner, & Stophel, Caris Hospice, The Lantern Memory Care, Home Care Solutions, CareSouth, Amedysis Home Health, Renee Collins at Home Primary Care will be available to speak to attendees one on one to answer additional questions. This event is free to the public. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served. Please call to RSVP as seating is limited.
