Soddy Daisy Man, 25, Suffers Serious Injuries In ATV Wreck On Montlake Road

A 25-year-old man suffered serious injuries in an ATV wreck on Montlake Road early Thursday morning.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 1600 block of Montlake Road at approximately 12 a.m. on a traffic crash involving an ATV. When deputies arrived on the scene they found that an ATV occupied by two men left Poe Road then attempted to make a left hand turn onto Montlake Road. The driver lost control striking several mailboxes then hitting a rock retaining wall.

The ATV flipped and landed on top of the driver, who was identified as Benjamin Bowman of Soddy Daisy. The passenger, identified as Brandon Dodson, 20, suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Mr. Bowman was transported to Erlanger Hospital via Life Force. Neither man was wearing a helmet.

The crash is being investigated by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
