The annual Bark in the Park in East Ridge will feature a Spooky Pooch parade with dogs in costume on Oct. 13
This free event includes an adoption fair, rabies clinic, vendor market, "Dogs at Work" demos, face painting, a "Pet PAWlour," contests, food, live music and a fire engine.
Bark in the Park will be held at Heritage Park (1428 Jenkins Road) from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The parade will start at approximately 11 a.m. Participants are asked to bring a dog food contribution for rescue groups, and plastics grocery sack donations are welcome to help us stock the pet waste stations in the park.
Proceeds from Bark in the Park will provide paved wheelchair paths in Heritage Dog Park (an off-leash dog park located at Heritage Park) with a goal of making Heritage Dog Park fully ADA compliant.
There are still vendor spaces available in the Vendor Market ($35 for a 10x10 space). Vendor spaces are reserved for home-based businesses only. To be a vendor or provide a door prize, email hattbitp@gmail.com.
