Street Closings Announced For The Weekend

Fort Street from West 13th Street to Main Street, Chestnut Street from West 13th Street to Main Street and West 14th Street from Carter Street to Chestnut Street will be closed from 3-9 p.m. on Saturday, for the Coker Tire Cruise In.

Reggie White Boulevard from West 19th Street to Main Street will be closed from 5 p.m. on Saturday, through 7 a.m. on Sunday, for the Camp Out to Stamp Out Family Homelessness.

Reggie White Boulevard, between West 19th Street and the entrance to the Skate Park will be closed from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday, for the Chattanooga Market.

All streets within the perimeters of Georgia Avenue on the west side, westbound McCallie Avenue on the south side, Central Avenue on the east side and 4th Street/3rd Street on the north side will be closed or closed to through traffic from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, for the Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure.  East 4th Street will be open and eastbound McCallie Avenue will be open.  Detours will be posted.

Creative Discovery Museum will host the Folklife Summer Music and Dance Series to feature the cultural diversity found in the Chattanooga region. Bands and music groups will include Rose Thorn and Fiddle Celtic Group, Ogya Band, The Tennessee Schmaltz Klezmer Band and the Indo-Cultural Art Academy.
