Grundy Grinds Out 36-14 Win Over CCS

Grundy County rushed for 292 yards and threw for 182 Friday night to earn a 36-14 region win over Chattanooga Christian.  Grundy led 23-7 at the half. 

CCS could not get its ground game going and ended the night with negative yards.  Senior quarterback Levi Corbett threw for 216 yards including one touchdown in the air and one on the ground. 

Grundy's ground game was led by quarterback Josh Rhea who finished with 117 yards on 16 carries.  Dylan Cleek rushed for 69 and Michael Noland finished with 64. 

Rhea was 10 of 18 in the air with 182 yards.

CCS's Corbett hit Lance Carter for nine receptions and 74 yards.

CCS hosts Signal Mountain next week and Grundy plays at Upperman.
