East Ridge Police made arrests of two armed robbery suspects on Monday.

At about 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, two victims advised police that while they were walking to their vehicles in the Church of Christ parking lot at 951 McBrien Road a Gold Jeep Cherokee pulled onto the lot from McBrien Road. The victim advised a black male exited the Cherokee, brandished a handgun, and robbed the victims of their credit cards, cell phones, and cash. The victims provided a description of a white female in the Cherokee as well as a possible license tag number.

Police later located the gold Cherokee with a license plate consistent with the description given. The vehicle was occupied by two black males, one of whom fit the suspect description, and a white female who fit the suspect description. Recovered from the vehicle were the victims’ stolen belongings and a plastic Airsoft pistol.

Arrested were Allen Horton, 30, of 2015 Ocoee St., Chattanooga, and Brandi King, 28, of 120 Passons Road, East Ridge. Both are scheduled to appear in East Ridge City Court on Nov. 20 on charges of felony theft and aggravated robbery.

Horton in 2004 entered a guilty plea to robbery and was given a six-year sentence that was suspended after serving 11 months and 29 days in the workhouse.  He also got a suspended two-year sentence on a guilty plea to statutory rape.
