Quiet Company

The Nightfall Concert Series presents Austin-based indie-rock band, Quiet Company, on Friday at 8 p.m. in a free concert at Miller Plaza. Local act Telemonster, will open the set at 7 p.m. This marks the finale show for the 2012 Nightfall season.

Quiet Company has broken the record for most wins in a single year at this year’s Austin Music Awards, pulling in 10 top honors. Their fame came along after being signed by Grooveshark, since then their global audience has grown exponentially. They have been on tour and opening for well-known artists including: Los Lonely Boys, the Toadies, Rooney and Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday. Not only have they opened for some of the top dogs in the industry, their music has also debuted on episodes of MTV’s Real World and E! Network’s Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Quiet Company’s smooth, lyrical style allows their audience to fully connect with their music, featuring piano-based pop that appeals to fans of almost all genres.

Opening the show will be local alt rock band, Telemonster.  Often compared to The Shins and Modest Mouse, the band cites a broad spectrum of influences including Radiohead, Animal Collective, Miles Davis and Tchaikovsky. Their music is known for its irresistible hooks and catchy vocal lines.

Corporate sponsors for Nightfall 2012 are Bud Light, Fletcher Bright’s One North Shore, Kelly Cars, River City Company, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, Warehouse Row, Big River Grille & Brewing Works, Southern Honda Powersports, Walden Security, and Doubletree Hotel, with media support from Fox 61, NPR/Music 88.1 and The Pulse.
