Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice will play on Thursday at Mike's Music in Flintstone.  These guys are the real deal, one of the highlights of the recent Boxcar fests.  Our friends at Forever Bluegrass are producing this one, and there's more info at http://juniorsiskandramblerschoice.com/www/?p=1174

Flying Fingers is taking a week off, but we'll hit the ground running when the amazing Theresa Andersson on Sunday, Sept 16.  This will be the Chattanooga debut for a performer whose amazing skills as a solo performer using violin and her voice evokes memories of Andrew Bird's performances at Barking Legs a few years ago.  Check this out, and see if you're not convinced: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJkQvyoWJBk

Matt Flinner, one of the world's top mandolinists will be back with his trio on Wed, Sept 19.  They are absolutely phenomenal.  Making the show even sweeter is the participation of Cahalen Morrison and Eli West, a young duo already having a huge impact on the scene with their contemporary take on old-time music.  Listen to Matt's trio http://compassrecords.com/album.php?id=943&listen=play and Cahalen & Eli http://cahalenandeli.com/ and come on down for the real thing live!

Vox Arcana will take things in a very different direction on Wed, Sept 23.  This trio of virtuoso players from Chicago combine elements of jazz and contemporary classical music, composition and improvisation with remarkable results.  Their first disc won high praise, and you can sample it here: http://allosdocuments.bandcamp.com/album/vox-arcana-aerial-age

And on the heels of these great shows we have a top Irish show from the Folk School of Chattanooga in Andy Irvine on Fri, Sept 28.  And in what might be one of our biggest shows ever, Tim O'Brien will be at the Legs on Thurs, Oct 11, along with Mollie O'Brien & Rich Moore.

But the dirty deeds themselves carry little weight as to what they mean to you or me. ... (click for more)
