Exhibiting new paintings in the North Gallery: FEMME 

A collaboration of talent by Nationally awarded artists Maggie Siner, and Robert Calcagno, layering on several American Artists with their inspirations of FEMME.  Femininity, elaborating the female figure and dresses, romantic paintings and intimate settings.  All mediums partaking in whimsical colors.  FEMME runs into November.

Brown, and sip ,sketch, and listen to some jazz tunes in the North Gallery among the artwork. Themes ranging from romantic French inspired works, to the lushes female form. Join Nationally award winning Plein Air Artist, Brett Weaver, for an afternoon of stunning views, and his Plein Air Workshop on Elder Mountain. Plein Air means "open air", so learn to paint in a natural outdoor environment while looking at one of the most breathtaking views in Chattanooga - The River Gorge. Meet at Shuptrine's Gold Leaf Designs and caravan to the painting site. The workshop will be held from 10-4pm, and following will be a sunset toast with wine, and a painting demonstration by Brett Weaver. $150 per artist. Reservations Required, supply lists provided upon confirmed reservation. All skill levels encouraged to participate. Tennessee Road Construction Suspended For Memorial Day Weekend

Road construction won’t slow motorists down as they travel Tennessee’s highways this Memorial Day weekend.  The Tennessee Department of Transportation will suspend all construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes beginning at noon on Friday, May 24 through 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28.  This will provide maximum roadway capacity for motorists ... City Council Ad Hoc Committee To Study Moving Elections To August, Adding More Districts, Staggering Terms

City Council Vice Chairman Chip Henderson said Tuesday he will lead an ad hoc committee that will look into possibly increasing the number of council districts from the current term.
