Memorial Foundation Honors Friends Of Memorial

Thursday, September 06, 2012

Memorial Health Care System Foundation is honoring Friends of Memorial donors on Tuesday, Sept. 18, from 6-9 p.m. at Miller Plaza with a special casino night reception. Friends of Memorial is a recognition program for individuals who support Memorial Foundation with an annual gift between $100 and $3,333.

Those who would like to attend the event but have not had the opportunity to make a donation to the Memorial Foundation still have time to participate. Donate $100 or more by September 18 and receive an invitation for admission for two to the reception. Donations may be made by calling 495-4124.

In addition to receiving an invitation to the annual members’ recognition event, Friends will receive a personalized Friends of Memorial membership card which gives the member discounts at local restaurants.

Since 2001, Friends of Memorial gifts have helped to purchase more than $1M in technology and equipment, including the dedicated breast MRI and EBUS (endobronchial ultrasound), as well as to help fund the building of the MaryEllen Locher Breast Center. These advancements have allowed Memorial to reach thousands of people in our community for screenings to detect early stages of cancer and empowered physicians and patients with more options for treatment and better outcomes. Thanks to the generous support of donors like Friends of Memorial, more people are receiving the care they need without leaving our community.

For more information about joining Friends of Memorial, call 495-4124.
