Slow Food Discussion with Dan Imhoff, with brunch and music to follow, will be on Sunday, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Folk School of Chattanooga, near Loose Cannon (1800 Rossville Ave.). The event is free and open to the public. Bring a potluck dish or drink to share if you'd like. Light brunch and coffee will be provided, supplied by local farmers and artisans. Bring an instrument for music potluck to follow.
Dan Imhoff, an activist and well-known author, has spent 20 years studying and writing about the impact farming has on the environment, big and small - good and bad. This Sunday, he will discuss the positive side of farming, and send us home with solutions to move forward as co-producers in our modern, busy world.
Mr. Imhoff will also be in Atlanta speaking about his book, True Costs of Animal Production on Friday. He will participate in a panel discussion on Saturday, as well. Both of these events are hosted by Emory University.
