VII. Resolutions:  

        a) A resolution authorizing the appointment of Roger Scott as a special police officer (unarmed) for the City of Chattanooga Public Works Department, to do special duty as prescribed herein, subject to certain conditions. 

        b) A resolution authorizing the appointment of Dallas Rucker as a special police officer (unarmed) for the City of Chattanooga Public Works Department, to do special duty as prescribed herein, subject to certain conditions. 

        c) A resolution authorizing the appointment of Perry Mayo as a special police officer (unarmed) for the City of Chattanooga Public Works Department, to do special duty as prescribed herein, subject to certain conditions. 

        d) A resolution authorizing the Mayor to sign a grant agreement with the Mayor of Hamilton County and the Tennessee Department of Transportation for $2,880,000.00 for additional support for the Downtown Riverwalk.  The City of Chattanooga and Hamilton County will equally divide the required 80/20 match of $576,000.00.  (Corrected.) 

        e) A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to enter into an agreement with Advanced Energy Engineering and Design, Inc. (AEED) for professional engineering services for Moccasin Bend Wastewater Treatment Plant Strategic Energy Management Program Implementation, for an amount not to exceed $150,000.00. 

        f) A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into an agreement with March Adams & Associates for engineering services in the amount of $3,560.00 and a contingency amount of $1,000.00, for an amount not to exceed $4,560.00. 

        g) A resolution authorizing free wood chips to all City and non-City residents, contractors, and persons-for-hire at the Wood Recycling Center for a period of ninety (90) days. 

        h) A resolution authorizing the Director of General Services to enter into a lease amendment with change of venue with Chattanooga Goodwill Industries, Inc. to lease a portion of the premises at 1815 E. Main Street for $1.00 per year for a five (5) year term with lessee responsible for utilities.  (Added by permission of Council Chairwoman Ladd.)  (District 8.)

        d) MR-2012-103 Tennessee Temple University c/o Dennis Clark (Abandonment).  An ordinance closing and abandoning the 1800-1900 blocks of Vance Avenue, excluding the 600-900 blocks of South Orchard Knob Avenue, more particularly described herein, subject to certain conditions.  (Recommendation for approval by Public Works, Districts 8 & 9.) 

    7. Resolutions: 

        a) A resolution accepting the bid of Mac Source Communications to complete the phone system for the City of Chattanooga, for an amount not to exceed $1,367,378.78 and further authorizing the purchase for two (2) additional years of maintenance and support upgrades for $171,948.00 per year.  (Deferred from 9/4/2012.) 

        b) A resolution adopting administrative regulations for conduct of injury-on-duty hearings pursuant to Section 8.5 of the City Charter for the City of Chattanooga. 

        c) A resolution to make certain findings relating to the granting of incentives to develop housing in downtown Chattanooga; to delegate certain authority to the Health, Educational and Housing Facility Board of the City of Chattanooga, Tennessee; to adopt a program for downtown housing development; to authorize the Mayor of the City of Chattanooga to enter into agreements for payments in lieu of ad valorem taxes meeting the criteria of said program and to provide for a termination of this incentive program in ten (10) years.  (District 8.)  (Deferred from 8/21/2012.)  (Revised.) 

        d) A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Parks and Recreation to enter into an agreement with Friends of the Festival for management of the 21st Century Waterfront, in the amount of $40,000.00. 

        e) A resolution authorizing the Administrator of the Department of Public Works to apply for and accept State Industrial Access (SIA) funding relative to the Volkswagen Drive Intersection Improvements, Options 3 and 5, of the TDOT Enterprise South Traffic Improvement Study, and authorizing matching funds for an amount not to exceed $275,000.00. 

        f) A resolution authorizing Lamar McDaniel to use temporarily the right-of-way located in the 4200 block of Bonny Oaks Drive and the original Youngstown Road right-of-way to restore access to the landlocked property, as shown on the maps attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference, subject to certain conditions.  (District 5.)

East Hamilton Soccer Advances To Class A/AA State Tournament
