Annie Ruth Russell, 94, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in a local health care facility.

She was retired from Cobble Moose Hosiery Mill with over 42 years of service and was a member of Temple Baptist Church for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Russell and daughter, Shirley Kidwell.

Survivors include her son, Dewey (Judy) Tallent, daughter, Joyce (Sam) Durham, sister, Vera June Day, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Jan. 4, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Jan. 3, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
