The annual Parish Meeting at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 211 Franklin Road, Lookout Mountain,will be Sunday, at 9:15 a.m. in Talbird Hall. Come at 9 a.m. for breakfast. There will be election of four new vestry members, have presentations from the church staff on ministries they lead, hear from Keith Sanford and conduct other business.
Children' Sunday School resumes at 9:15 a.m. with an all-age activity in the library to allow the teachers to attend the Parish Meeting. Middle School youth will meet as usual while High School youth are encouraged to join in the annual meeting. Adult Formation will resume Jan. 20.
Shepherd's Night Out on Wednesday, will resume with worship at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. and a new series study, "Taking Jesus at His Word" and "What If Jesus Really Meant What He Said," led by the Rev. Robert Childers. No homework or prior reading is required. Handouts will be provided and discussion encouraged.
The youth ski trip to Beech Mouuntain Resort in North Carolina will be Feb. 22-24 at a cost of $185. Signup deadline is Jan. 16.
