Dewayne “Dink” Hawkins, 62, of Signal Mountain, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

Survivors include his wife, Renee Hawkins; daughters, Betsy Layne, Becky (Daniel) Hickman; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Signal Mountain United Methodist Church.

Shirley Jean Selby, 76, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her father, Harry May; and her mother, Viola Price. Fire Displaces Family Of 7; Blaze Ruled Accidental

No injuries were reported in connection with a house fire on Saturday afternoon that displaced a family of seven. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 4:11 p.m. and responded to 3308 Dodson Ave. with five fire companies.
