Mildred Mae Shropshire, 84, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

A native of Aurora, MO., she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Connie Marie Childers Forrester.  Mrs. Shropshire was a retired nutritionist for Cobb County Schools and Baptist by Faith.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Shropshire; a daughter, Rebecca Marie Penn; sons, Julian Lloyd Shropshire and an infant son; and 14 siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Ritchey of Woodland Park, CO; son, Wesley Shropshire of Bluffton, SC; brother, Lawrence Forrest of Aurora, MO; grandchildren, Trish Mardis, Nicole Brooks, Josh Ritchey, John Shropshire, Madison Shropshire and William Shropshire; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12 at 1 p.m. from Graveside in the Family Plot in Summerville Cemetery with Dr. Kenneth Summey officiating.

Earle Rainwater Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Plan Revived For 5-Story Boutique Hotel Next To The Walnut Street Bridge
