Lee Children’s Choir Auditions Coming Soon

Registration and auditions for the Lee University Children's Chorale will be held Monday and Monday, Jan. 28, from 5-5:30 p.m. in the Humanities Building, Room 111. No appointment is necessary to audition.  

Lee University Children's Chorale is a community choir, established in 1996 to provide supplemental singing experiences for children, grades 4–6. 

Focusing on vocal development, musical training, and performance, the enrichment program is directed by Joy Gibbons.

“The greatest reward of my many years in music education is the privilege of encouraging hundreds of students to love music for a lifetime,” said Ms. Gibbons.  

Ms. Gibbons asks that students be prepared to sing a familiar song of their choice at the auditions. 

Tuition for the semester is $100 per student.

Von Streber Named Crosby Scholar

Lee University student Guilherme von Streber was the recipient of the 2015 Crosby Scholarship, presented by Lee President Dr. Paul Conn during a chapel service.  The Crosby Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Dr. Henry Crosby, a close friend of Dr. Conn and his wife Darlia. Volkswagen Stockholder Files Suit Against Automaker At Chattanooga; Seeks Class Action Status

A Volkswagen stockholder has filed suit in Federal Court in Chattanooga against the automaker, charging that its stock was over-valued and that it has not plummeted due to revelations about emissions cheating. A woman is in critical condition after she was shot while driving in Chattanooga on Saturday night. Just after  9 p.m. , the Chattanooga Police Department responded to reports of a person shot.
