Lee Children’s Choir Auditions Coming Soon

Registration and auditions for the Lee University Children's Chorale will be held Monday and Monday, Jan. 28, from 5-5:30 p.m. in the Humanities Building, Room 111. No appointment is necessary to audition.  

Lee University Children's Chorale is a community choir, established in 1996 to provide supplemental singing experiences for children, grades 4–6. 

Focusing on vocal development, musical training, and performance, the enrichment program is directed by Joy Gibbons.

“The greatest reward of my many years in music education is the privilege of encouraging hundreds of students to love music for a lifetime,” said Ms. Gibbons.  

Ms. Gibbons asks that students be prepared to sing a familiar song of their choice at the auditions. 

Tuition for the semester is $100 per student.

Underground Fire Closes Several Downtown Streets

An underground fire closed severqal downtown streets late Sunday afternoon. At approximately 5:20 p.m.,  t he Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a reported fire in a man-hole at the corner of Chestnut Street and W. 8th Street. 16-Year-Old Who Was Shot In The Head In East Ridge Dies

 Monserrate Ferrer, the 16 year old who  was shot in East Ridge on Friday , has died. Investigators will meet early next week with the Hamilton County District  Attorney's Office to discuss the case.
