William Ray Austin, 83, of South Pittsburg, TN, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013.

He was born on September 6, 1929 in Bridgeport, AL and moved to South Pittsburg in 1950. He was a retired employee of US Stove and Foundry. He was a faithful member of the South Pittsburg Church of God until he was confined at the Bridge.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jess Austin; mother, Grace Walker; step-mother, Lola Coley Austin; and brother, Bob Austin.

He is survived by his sister, Ann Gudger; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. CST, Monday, January 14, with Bro. Ronnie Case officiating. Interment will follow in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Monday, January 14 at the Tate Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
