Robert Lee Chism, 63, died on January 11, 2013 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Lucille Chism; and brothers, James and William Chism.

He is survived by his daughter, Carmen Summerrow; siblings, Margaret Chism, Chattanooga; and Alice (Johnny) Henson of Nashville; Wallace (Ora) Chism of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Harold Chism of North Carolina; a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, at National Cemetery  with Minister Gilbert  Aikens and Pastor Edward Thrasher officiating. 

The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, Jan. 17, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
