Brenda Faye Hitson, 65, of Bradley County, TN, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Beecher Hamby; and husband, Loyd Hitson.

Survivors include her mother, Ida Mae Hitson, of Cleveland; sons, Rocky Hitson and wife Marie and LeBron Hitson and wife Sarah; daughter, Karey Hitson; five grandchildren, Angelina Hitson, Alex Hitson, Samantha Hitson, Randilyn Rymer and Davey Rymer: sister, Rena Bell and husband Ed all of Cleveland; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; special friends, Arthur and Leona Peden and Carol Morgan; and friends from Family Home Health and Hospice. 

The family will receive friends from 10-3 p.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Bethel Baptist Church. A private burial will be held for the family. 

Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

Jury Awards 25 City Police Personnel Total Of $562,000 On Claims That Pay Plan Was Not Followed

A Chancery Court jury on Wednesday gave a verdict totaling $562,000 for 25 city police personnel who filed suit almost five years ago alleging that the city never lived up to terms of a 2010 pay plan.
