Jean Thomas Goodfellow, 91, of Signal Mountain, died on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Alexian Village Health Center.

A memorial service celebrating the lives of Bill and Jean Goodfellow will be held at the Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, 612 James Blvd., Signal Mountain, TN on Thursday, Jan. 17, at 11 a.m.  

Both Jean and Bill went home to be with their deeply loved Lord - Jean on Dec. 15, 2011 and Bill on January 9, 2013.  Both were residents of Alexian Village Health Center in Signal Mountain.  

Visitation with the family will take place immediately following the service.

City Seeking Grant To Improve Signals At 32 Intersections

The city is seeking a $2 million federal grant to go along with $500,000 in city funds for a project to improve signals at 32 intersections. There would also be bike and pedestrian improvements. The routes include Brainerd Road, Lee Highway, Shallowford Road, Gunbarrel Road and Hamilton Place Boulevard. The application is for a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Grant. (click for more)
