Blackwell, Ollie Bain (Dalton)

Ollie Bain Blackwell, 93, of Dalton, GA, died on Tuesday, January 14, 2013 at her residence. 

Mrs. Blackwell was born September 10, 1919 in Benton, TN, a daughter of the late J.C. and Lizay Cronan Bain; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Blackwell; daughter, Edith Brewer; brothers, Daphus, Luther, Raymond and Calvin Bain; and sister, Mattie Ruth McGuire. 

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Floyd Blackwell and Roy and Edna Blackwell; daughters and son-in-law, Eloise Mauldin all of Dalton, Dorothy and John Manley of Cohutta; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. 

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ollie Bain Blackwell will be held Wednesday, January 16, at 11 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. 

The family receive friends at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, January 15. 

Arrangements are by locally owned and operated Ponders Funeral Homes.
