Fletcher Charged In 2 Chattanooga Robberies, 3 In East Ridge

Police have arrested 20-year-old Charles Fletcher in two robberies on Monday in Chattanooga and three in East Ridge.

At approximately 4:20 p.m. and 4:22 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to robberies at 4900 Brainerd Road (Kangaroo) and 4711 Brainerd Road (Mapco Express).

Police said the suspect was wearing a red bandana during the robberies and demanded money from the clerks. After obtaining the cash, he fled the scene in a car.

Detectives learned that Fletcher was a possible suspect in three robberies that had occurred in East Ridge just prior to the Chattanooga hold-ups.

A collective effort between the Chattanooga Police Department and East Ridge Police Department, found Fletcher at 2216 Elmendorf St.

in Chattanooga, where he was arrested for robbery and theft.
