Chattanooga Real Estate Experts To Host Free Homebuyer’s Seminar Jan. 22

Crye-Leike Chattanooga realtor Preston Brown is teaming up with mortgage expert Becca Pool of Mortgage Investors Group to host a free homebuyer’s seminar on Jan. 22, from 6:15-8 p.m. The seminar will be held at Crye-Leike’s Ooltewah branch office at 5913 Main Street in Suite 107.

At the seminar, Mr. Brown and Ms. Pool will go through the detailed steps of home buying starting with the pre-qualification and proceeding through the various types of financing, shopping for a home and then the paper work. The seminar will educate potential buyers on several important home buying topics including: how and where to start looking for a home, improving your credit score, how to get pre-approved for a home loan, the type of mortgages available and the importance of house inspection and homeowners insurance.

 


Planning Agency Staff Recommends Denial Of Request For Doctors Office, Pharmacy On Shallowford Road

The Regional Planning Agency staff is recommending denial on a rezoning request for a doctors office and pharmacy at 7683 Shallowford Road. Wanda Threat is making the request. Underground Fire Closes Several Downtown Streets

An underground fire closed several downtown streets late Saturday afternoon. At approximately 5:20 p.m., the Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a reported fire in a man-hole at the corner of Chestnut Street and W. 8th Street. 16-Year-Old Who Was Shot In The Head In East Ridge Dies

Monserrate Ferrer, the 16-year-old who was shot in East Ridge on Friday, has died. Investigators will meet early next week with the Hamilton County District Attorney's Office to discuss the case.
