New Prime Time Programs Offered At First-Centenary United Methodist

Two new programs will begin on Wednesday, for Prime Time at First-Centenary United Methodist Church, 410 McCallie Ave. "Developing Capable People" will be led by Mary Grey Moses in the Seminar Room and "State of the Church" will be led by Dr.  Doug Fairbanks in the Oak Street Center. Supper by reservation is at 5:30 p.m. and the program at 6:30 p.m.

Dr.Fairbanks will speak at the 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. services on Sunday, on "From Desolation to Delight," with text from Isaiah 62:1-5 and John 2:1-11.

The Rev. Brian Davis will speak in The Vine at 10:45 a.m. on "Too Much to Handle," with text from Matthew 2:13-23.


Summer Music Camp To Be Held At St. John United Methodist

Summer Music Camp for children in Kindergarten through sixth grade will be held at St. John United Methodist Church, 3921 Murray Hills Drive, on June 3-7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a music camp performance on June 7, at 6:30 p.m.  Campers will learn and perform a Broadway style musical, "Out of This World." The cost is $50 and registration closes May 28. (click for more)

Family Event Offered At Signal Crest United Methodist

FX, a high-energy family event, will be held at Signal Crest United Methodist Church, 1005 Ridgeway Ave., Signal Mountain,  on May 31, at 6:30 p.m. in Crest Center.  Tickets are $3 in advance or $5 at the door. (click for more)

3 Charged In Raleigh With Murder Of Former Cleveland, Tn., Woman

Three people have been charged in Raleigh, N.C., with the murder last week of a 30-year-old woman, who had just moved from Cleveland, Tn. Arrested for the slaying of Melissa Dawn Huggins-Jones were Ronald Lee Anthony, 23; Sarah Rene Redden, 18, and Travion Devonte Smith, 20.
