Michael Eugene Freeman, 50, of Soddy Daisy, died on Monday, January 14, 2013 at his home. 

He was of the Church of God faith. He loved spending time with his family and was an avid outdoorsman. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Terrel and Hazel Freeman, brothers, Paul, Charlie, and Butch and a sister.

He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Melissa Freeman, sons, Paul Nathaniel Freeman, Thomas Landon Freeman, daughters, Dolly Johnson, Crystal Freeman, brothers, Terrel Freeman, Jr., Wayne Freeman, Robert Moore, Donald Freeman, sister, Wanda Cross, three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Dodd Cemetery with the Reverend Aaron Simmons and the Reverend Troy Simmons officiating. 

His family will receive friends from 11 a.m. on Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.

Elysie Cheek Arnold died peacefully Tuesday evening, April 22, 2014 surrounded by family and loved ones.  She was 99. She was born in Burlington, N.C., on Aug. 13, 1914 to John and Bess Satterfield Cheek. Catoosa Man Convicted Of Sexual Abuse Of 5 Young Girls Gets Life Plus 250 Years

A Catoosa County man convicted of the sexual abuse of five young girls and possession of child pornography has been sentenced to life plus 250 years. James Martin Ferris, 34, was found guilty after a recent trial. The day after his conviction, Judge Ralph Van Pelt set the sentence.
