Price, Helen Louise (Benton)

Helen Louise Price, 90, of Benton, TN, passed away, Thursday, January 17, 2013 at an assisted living facility in Chattanooga. 

She was of Baptist faith. She was retired as secretary for the Judge of County Court in Polk County and was a graduate of McKenzie Business College. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Bertha Marie Sample Price; and brother, Zane Price. 

She is survived by her former sister-in-law, Betty Ann Johnson; and two nephews, Stan Price and Mark Price, all of Aynor, SC. 

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home with Dr. Robbie Speights officiating. Interment will follow in Benton Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 20 from 2-3 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangments.

Valetta Jean Heuser, 93, of Rock Spring, died on Monday, May 20, 2013 in a local hospital. Hayden Lamar Lasley, 60, of Hixson, died on Monday, May 20, 2013.   He was a longtime area girls softball coach for more than 35 years.
