Earline Carter Williams, 91, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at a local hospital.
The daughter of the late William Charlie and Ruth Faust Carter of Paris, Tn., she was a graduate of Grove High School and Toler Business College. She was also an executive secretary to the Administration at TVA Widows Creek Steam Plant from where she retired.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Vaughn Williams and son-in-law, Don E. LaFave, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet W. LaFave, of Athens, GA; son, Johnny (Freeda) Williams, of Knoxville; grandchildren, Donald E. “Trey” LaFave, III, of New York, N.Y., Terri (Rick) Ogle of Knoxville, Melissa (Randy) Rinehart, of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Derrick Rinehart, Greg McGill and Carla Carter; great-great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Emma Carter and Lexi McGill; sister, Pauline Spaulding, of Paris, Tn.; niece Dixie Spaulding Hines, of Paris; lifelong friends, Ruth O’Leary and Leonard Wynne of South Pittsburg and Jo Eoff of Elizabethton, Tn.; caretakers, Ann Quammen and Kay Hennegar; and a host of other friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at the South Pittsburg First Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. CST with Reverend Brad Bridgman and Reverend Charlie Campbell officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
