Rebecca "Becky" Louise Buffington, 40, of Dalton, GA, died on Thursday January 17, 2013 at the local hospital.

Becky was born August 20, 1972 in Dalton, and was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Lynn Cross. 

She is survived by her husband, Ralph Tray Buffington III of Rock Springs; daughter, Kaitlyn Ashley Buffington; mother, Mary Ruth Ridley; father, Wayne Cross; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Jean Cross, Vickie and Steve Parks; brothers and sister-in-law, Ronald Cross all of Dalton and Jeffery and Mae Cross of Chicago; special niece, Christy Esquivel; special friends, Loretta Bodwell and Pam Ingle; and several nieces and nephews. 

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Rebecca "Becky" Louise Buffington will be held Sunday January 20, at 2 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Steve Parks officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, January 19 at the Ponders Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.

EPB Says It Did Not Overbill The City; Says City Got $685,877 Break

EPB officials said Tuesday that an exhaustive audit of its street light contract with the city showed that it did not overbill the city.
