State Senator Tracy To Try To Unseat Scott DesJarlais In 2014

State Senator Jim Tracy announced Wednesday in Murfreesboro that he will run against Fourth District Congressman Scott DesJarlais in the Republican primary in 2014.

Senator Tracy, a Shelbyville insurance agent who is in his third term in the state Senate, said, “I am a conservative in word and deed. I have lived my life both personally and professionally in a way that is consistent with my core conservative values.

“I promise that I will never embarrass you with my personal conduct or compromise on my conservative principles.

Rep. DesJarlais recently won over Democrat Eric Stewart despite a focus by the challenger on the physician's personal life.
