County Buying Fleet Of Chattanooga-Made VWs; County Mayor Coppinger Gets First One

The Hamilton County government is buying a fleet of Chattanooga-made Volkswagen diesel sedans, and County Mayor Jim Coppinger will get to drive the first one.

The County Commission on Wednesday approved the deal with the local Village Volkswagen.

County Mayor Coppinger will use the $26,475 VW.

His current vehicle will be assigned to the health department's inspection department.
