Carroll, Glen Raynell (Cleveland)

Glen Raynell Carroll, 76, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Saturday January 19, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. 

He was an avid Coon Hunter and was a well known carpenter for many years. 

He was the son of the late Rufus Elmer Carroll and Sarah Carroll Beavers; and was also preceded in death by two sons, Wendell Glen Carroll and infant son Dale Carroll; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Shirley Gibson Carroll; two sons and wives, Ray and Elizabeth Carroll and Mike and LaQuita Carroll all of Cleveland; one daughter, Patricia Turner of Atlanta; three grandsons, Ray Turner, Paul Turner of Atlanta and Richie Carroll of Cleveland; one very special granddaughter, Hannah Carroll; one great-granddaughter; three great-grandsons; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 22 at the North Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Rev. Dean Myers and Rev. Doyle McCracken officiating. Interment will follow in the Chilcutt Cemetery.

Ja Coby Demarrge Evans, 30, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Monday, October 20, 2014 at Floyd Medical Center. Jessie Ownbey, 80, of Rossville, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area where she owned and operated several restaurants. Jimmy “Pepaw” Howard Hall, 84, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born in DeKalb County, Tn., on July 11, 1930, to the late Benjamin and Lillie Hall.
