White, Brenda Sue (Dalton)

Brenda Sue White, 64, of Dalton, GA, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Hamilton Medical Center. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Carmen Nicholson; brother, Roy Nicholson and a daughter-in-law, Teresa Fowler Locke. 

Brenda was a 17 time Golden Poet Award winner, with America Return to God and God’s Gift to Love just a couple of her many poems. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Tim White of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney Dale Locke of Dalton, Roger and Lanie Locke of Sugar Valley, David and Melissa Locke of Dalton and Darrin and Connie Locke of Calhoun; siblings, Larry Nicholson, Randall and Rita Nicholson, Danny and Sharon Nicholson all of Dalton, Sandra and Eddy Taylor of Trenton, Jeff and Scherria Nicholson of Sugar Valley, Steven and Rebecca Nicholson, Tracy Hawkins, Kim and James McDowell and Keith Nicholson all of Dalton; mother, Eva Nicholson of Dalton; sister-in-law, Deanna White of Dalton; special friend, Robert Culp of Dalton; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 22 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Chester Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. 

Love Funeral Home, 1402 N. Thornton Ave., Dalton (across from Hamilton Medical Center) is in charge of arrangements.

Yvonne Smith Cashon, 73, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Friday October 21, 2016 in Chattanooga. She was born April 20, 1943, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Madge Parson Smith. Hewitt, Charles E. (Chatsworth)

Charles E. Hewitt, 81, of Chatsworth, GA, died on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Pleasant Valley. Charles was born Oct. 3, 1935 in Decatur, AL, the son of the late Jack Hewitt and Allie Poff Hewitt; and was also preceded by his brother, J.B. Hewitt; and sister Nellie Ruth. Charles “Chuck” Comer,   of Chattanooga, a prominent business man and banker for many years, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 20, 2016, while visiting family in Columbia, South Carolina. 2 Shot On Shepherd Road Tuesday Evening

Two people were shot Tuesday evening on Shepherd Road. In Surprise Vote, Chattanooga City Council Turns Down Short Term Vacation Rentals
