Franklin Associates To Design City-County Indoor Firing Range On 11th Street

Franklin Associates Architects has been chosen to design the joint city-county indoor firing range on 11th Street.

Cost for design and overseeing construction was put at $310,000.

The facility is expected to cost about $4 million.

It will be called the Chattanooga Hamilton County Law Enforcement Firearms Training Facility.

The existing firing range on Moccasin Bend is to be turned over to the National Park Service.

Funeral Will Be Friday For Chattanooga Attorney Who Was Shot And Killed At His Home

Funeral services will be Friday afternoon for Chattanooga attorney Glenn R. Copeland, who was shot and killed at his home on Sunday. He was 82. Authorities said his son, Dale, apparently carried out the shooting before going to his home across the street, where he died of a gunshot wound.
