Disciple 2013 for students Grade 4 and above at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, 612 James Blvd., Signal Mountain, will begin on Sunday. Also on Sunday, a youth auction for summer missions will begin with dinner, by reservation, at 6:30 p.m., with bidding continuing until 8:30 p.m. Make reservations for the dinner by calling the church office.

Bill To Get Delta Queen Floating Again Blocked By 2 Senators

A bill to get the historic Delta Queen plying the rivers again sailed through the U.S. House, but it was blocked in the Senate in the closing days of this year's Congressional session. Northwest Georgia’s Unemployment Rate Falls To 6.4 Percent In November

The Georgia Department of Labor announced Thursday that the unemployment rate in the Northwest Georgia region was 6.4 percent in November, down six-tenths of a percentage point from 7.0 percent in October.
