Memorial To Be Added For 11 Firefighters At Fountain Square On Monday

13 fallen firefighters will be honored Monday at 10 a.m ceremony at the Fountain Square Park on Georgia Avenue across from the Hamilton County Courthouse.

The ceremony will formally dedicate two memorial markers that have been placed near the landmark fountain which honors two Chattanooga firefighters who perished in the 1887 Bee Hive blaze.

Expected to join the memorial dedication Monday are relatives of firefighters who have died in the line of duty and local elected officials.

City Set To Move Ahead On Study For Light Rail System; But Some Council Members Skeptical

Funeral arrangements have been set for Renee Card Monroe, 60, who was killed, along with her two grandchildren, Reagan and Jaxson Cohen, in an ATV accident on Monday when their ATV toppled into a pond.
