Brainerd Baptist To Begin Seminary In The Fall

Next fall Brainerd Baptist Church, 300 Brookfield Ave., will begin a partnership with Southeastern Baptist  Theological Seminary to offer a four-year Master of Divinity degree in Christian Ministry that can be earned in large part at Brainerd. 

An information meeting will be held on Wednesday, at 6:30 p.m. in Room 112 of the main building. We will discuss scholarship information, seminary application, the class schedule and meeting days. Contact hal@brainerdbaptist.org with questions.

Dr. Richard Ross will lead a parenting seminar on Sunday, from 10-11 a.m. in The Crossing for parents of fourth through 12th grade children on "Making A Spiritual Impact On Your Children."

A missions' bake sale Sunday will have cakes and cookies available for purchase after the 11:15 a.m. service in the BX cafe area. All proceeds will go to support mission projects throughout the year.

Chicken Salad Sale Offered At St. Martin's Episcopal

Catoosa Man Convicted Of Sexual Abuse Of 5 Young Girls Gets Life Plus 250 Years

A Catoosa County man convicted of the sexual abuse of five young girls and possession of child pornography has been sentenced to life plus 250 years. James Martin Ferris, 34, was found guilty after a recent trial. The day after his conviction, Judge Ralph Van Pelt set the sentence. Ferris on June 5, 2013, was indicted by the Catoosa County Grand Jury on 46 counts.   ... (click for more)

Use The Current Rail System Already In Place - And Response

Why spend $20 million or more on an unproven system to run from the Southside of Chattanooga when we already have the beginnings of a system?  The question apparently has surfaced of why the Choo Choo City doesn't have a rail line.
