New Pianist At Burks United Methodist Welcomed With Concert

The Rev. Rowland Buck will continue his sermon series on Livin' the Life on Sunday, with "Believing Gives Life," with John 3:10-17 as text. Services are at 9 and 11 a.m., with Sunday School at 10 a.m. 

At 3 p.m. on Sunday, in the sanctuary, the Music Ministry will have a concert of praise to welcome the new pianist, Roy Treiye. A reception will follow, sponsored by the church chancel choir.

At 6 p.m. on Sunday, the new Beth Moore Bible study, "Lessons From the Pages of Deuteronomy"  will begin six-weeks of DVD sessions with Listening  Guides, available for $10.

The meeting will be in the Alpha and Omega room.



Go Red Heart Healthy Event Held At Olivet Baptist Church

The Olivet Baptist Church Health and Nursing Ministry observed a Go Red Heart Healthy Event, which was a health campaign focusing on heart disease and stroke prevention awareness in women.
