Tuesday, January 29, 2013

The body of seven-year-old Helana Alley was found by rescuers Tuesday morning, confirmed Jeff Bishop of the Tennessee Wildlife Agency.

Helana, along with her six-year-old brother, Lazarus, and their father, Nick Alley, 36, were in a boating accident in Polk County on Jan. 16.  Lazarus was found Thursday.

The search continues for Mr. Alley.

Three other family members in the boat were able to swim to shore on the swollen Conasauga River a short distance from where it meets the Hiwassee River.

The Mennonite family is from Delano in Polk County.
