Patrick Newsom
Patrick L. Newsom, 43, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, died on Saturday, January 26, 2013.
He was born to the late Rev. Lucious Newsom and Lorena H. Morgan. Patrick, also known as, “Newgie” attended Hamilton County Public Schools, but graduated High School in Indianapolis, In.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lucious Newsom.
He is survived by his loving wife, Adonya Talley Newsom; a blended family of 10 children; two grandchildren; mother, Lorena H. Morgan; sisters, Starlett (Sebastian) Zeno, Cynthia Taylor, Timothy (Mary) Taylor, Iva (Trevor) Newsom-McDade; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins; special friends, Cary Lewis, Sammy McDaniel, Alex Brown and Walt.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at New Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Allen officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Friday, Feb. 1, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
