World War II Veteran Had Long Career With Container Corporation

James T. “Ned” Radcliff, 84, of Rossville, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at his home.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.  He worked as a supervisor at Container Corporation for 17 years and retired as an agent for Prudential Insurance Company.  He enjoyed flea marketing and was a member of East Lake Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara K. Radcliff, grandson, Luke Stockhausen, parents, Thomas and Anna Radcliff and brother, Frank Radcliff.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Peggy Ruth Radcliff, four children, Stephen Radcliff, Sheila (Alan) Stockhausen, Mike (Karen) Radcliff and Gina (Frank) Eller, two step-children, Jeanette (Carlos) Guerrero and Jennifer (Glenn) Schweneker, 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Ellen Radcliff and two special friends Franklin Phillips and Ruby Cobb. Special cousins Marie Justice, Bob Walden, Teresa Walden, and Jackie Odom

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 2, at 2 p.m. in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 1, from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.

Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.

3 People Shot At Citgo On Glenwood Drive; 1 Dies

Three people were shot at a convenience store in Glenwood on Monday afternoon. One later died after being rushed to the hospital. A second person who was shot went to the hospital by personal vehicle. Police initially could not locate the third victim, but later confirmed another had been shot. Erlanger Pharmacies Sold To CVS For $10 Million; Units At East, North To Close

Retail pharmacies at Erlanger Health System are being sold to CVS for $10 million, officials said. The retail drug stores at Erlanger North in Red Bank and Erlanger East on Gunbarrel Road will close.
