Bobby Lee Newby, 67, of LaFayette, GA, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Heritage Health Care. 

He was born July 18, 1945 in Red Bank, TN, a son of the late Jack and Hazel Lorraine Newby; and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Andre and Richard Newby; and sister, Marcia Gail Steel. 

Bobby served in the United States Army. 

He is survived by his wife, Tammy R. Newby; daughters, Jessica Newby of Lafayette, Sabrina Miller and Barbara Roberson of Lawton, OK; sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Johnna Newby of Lawton, OK, Justin Newby of Rocky Face; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Betty Newby of Ringgold and Eldun and Marsha Newby of Rocky Face; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Roy Keef of Ringgold; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. 

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Bobby Lee Newby will be held Friday, February 1, at 2 p.m. at the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Michael Johnson officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, January 31. 

In lieu of flower the family request donation be made to the American Cancer Society. 

Arrangements are by locally owned and operated Ponders Melrose Chapel.

Chuck E. Hester, 54, of Athens, Tennessee, passed away Saturday morning, August 1, 2015 at SkyRidge Medical Center in Cleveland. The son of the late Clarence and Margie Grogan Hester, he was a native and lifelong resident of McMinn County. He was employed at Coleman Glass and was of the Baptist faith.
