Scott, DeForest (Summerville)

DeForest Scott, 72, Of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 at his residence. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas C. and Helen Knox Scott, Sr.; and one brother, Thomas C. Scott, Jr. 

He was a member of Hemphill A.M.E. Church.

Survivors are one daughter, Racquel (Dennis) Johnson of Bremen, GA; step-daughter, Nischa Daniel of Summerville; two sisters, Mary Helen Underwood of Siginaw, MI and Dr. Frances Reeves of Riverdale, GA; one brother, Robert Scott of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren, Jamie Johnson, Kalia Johnson, Zharia Johnson, Nia Johnson, Kendrick Daniel, Eddie Farmer, Jr., Jimmy Reese, Jr., and Amaya Reese; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 2, at 1 p.m. from the Hemphill A.M.E. Church with Pastor Anita Clouds and other ministers officiating. Interment will follow in Georgia National Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends one hour before the service on Saturday, February 2.

Dewey Clayton Brewster, 65, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Brewster was born in Gaylesville, AL on December 26, 1948, son of the late Alf Brewster and Buena Vista Winkle Brewster.
