Sprayberry, Opal Marie (Trion)

Opal Marie Sprayberry, 94, of Trion, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness.  

A native of Chattooga County, GA, she was born to the late Roland and Gussie Johnson White on January 3, 1919.  Mrs. Sprayberry was retired from the Spinning department of Riegel Textile Corporation.            

Surviving are daughter, Janice Strickland of Summerville; sons, Richard Peace of Trion and Frankie Peace of Summerville; ten grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31 at noon from the Earle Rainwater Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhills Memory Garden.  Pallbearers are Lamar Wilson Chad Lanier, Sterling Peace, Tommy Dover, Robbie Dover and Charles Woody.  

Visitation will be Thursday, January 30 from 11 a.m. until the service at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.

Fire Displaces Family Of 3 On Kemp Drive

No injuries were reported in connection with a house fire late Saturday afternoon. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm shortly before  6 p.m.  and responded to 4605 Kemp Drive with five fire companies.
