A Hamilton County man with an extensive criminal record is now facing federal charges.

Federal Magistrate Court Judge Susan Lee ordered Stephen Willard Henley to be held pending a scheduled trial on March 14.

Henley, 45, is charged with interference with commerce by threat or violence.

Authorities said Henley robbed the Super Tobacco Mart at 1103 Ashland Terrace on May 28.

Henley was declared an habitual traffic offender in 1995, but he has picked up a number of driving charges since then.

He got a six-year suspended sentence on a 2003 robbery.
