Longtime Hostess At Eidson Restaurant

Hilda R. Eidson, 91, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, January 3, 2013.

Mrs. Eidson was born in Chattanooga, to John and Bessie Mae Williams.  She graduated from Central High School in 1939 and for many years was the hostess at Eidson Restaurant.  She was also a lifetime member of Newman Springs United Methodist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde “Spider” Eidson; her parents; sister, Carrie Hart; and brothers, Fred and Marvin Williams.

Surviving are her daughter, Debbie Eidson Reeves; son-in-law, Edwin Reeves; and granddaughter, Meredith Reeves Werley and her husband, Noah Werley.

Visitation will be from 1-2:45 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, at the funeral home.

Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, at Lakewood Memory Gardens South with Reverend John Mattox officiating.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the care given by Martin Boyd Christian Home, Consulate Health Care and Amedysis Hospice.

Memorial donations may be made to the Martin Boyd Christian Home or Amedysis Hospice.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
