Free Family Night at Creative Discovery Museum is Thursday.

The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and will close again at 8 p.m. for this evening of free family fun.  Guests can make a splash in RiverPlay, dig the dinos in Excavation Station, create a masterpiece in Arts Alley and more. The evening ends with a science demo in the Museum Auditorium.

This month WTCI is partnering with the museum as part of Project Ready to Learn. A representative from WTCI will be at the museum to help parents explore the educational apps based on popular "PBS Kids!" characters.

Most of the apps are free and help children learn basic skills for school.
